NFTs are "minted" into existence. Which is a fancy way to say the "unit of data" has been registered onto a blockchain network. The supply and demand of that NFT will determine its value. Some NFTs give you access to certain things, others are just cool looking pieces of digital art. Study each project carefully so you understand the full scope of what you are getting. Personally I am a big fan of "Axies". A game where the NFTs you purchase can be used in games to earn additional crypto
